Working with Children Check
Members: As we develop the Club's activities for the Community, there is a desire to approach the Schools to add Bowling to their Curriculum. In order to do this, each Member of the Club who assists with this project, must have a WWCC (Working with Children Check). As our illustrious Men's Secretary has found out, it is a very simple process that we would like you all to consider. Here is a quote of Terry's experience:
Hi Members, recently I had to obtain a WWCC needed for a Coaching Course I hope to do.
I am just letting you know it is a very simple procedure. You fill out your application form online, print it out, then take the form to the Post Office where they take a picture of you and that is it.
I took my form to the P.O. on Friday the 15th Sept. and was passed on Monday the 18th. Sept. (weekend included). My card with picture and details will arrive in 2 weeks.
There is no cost involved as we are volunteers.?
NOTICE TO MEMBERS.
If you have your name down to play pennant or any other game for that matter, it is YOUR obligation to check to see if you have got a game. You can do this by checking the wailing board at the club or on our website;
or check with one of the selectors by phone if you can't get to the club. it is not up to the selectors to let you know unless there are some unforeseen circumstances.
Selectors: A. Phillips(Chairman) R. Young, T. Pye, A. Beales. B. Parker.
Terry, Sec. Men's Section Committee.
Social Bowls at 1pm - put your name down (on the list outside) or ring through before 12 noon on the day. So, come along and join in the objective of NOT winning the Mars Bar (the infamous consolation prize).
Team practice from 5.30pm - We get a variety of Club Members, Corporate participants and friends "giving it a go", which is great! Come on down for some interesting (and fun) drills devised by our President, Adrian!
MEMBERS' EVENING EVERY FRIDAY!
The usual Friday night Happy Hour is at the Club, from 5.00pm. Catch up with your fellow members over a drink - including the Members' Draw at 7pm. So, come along for a relaxing (and possibly a financially-rewarding) evening - as a member, you must be present to win the Draw.
And Finally!! For a review of any of our past events and functions, go to the "NEWS" section under "Past Events".
